Eastgate Christian Centre

Te Kauwhata Campus

A church and a whānau

Our Te Kauwhata campus was established in September 2017. It’s a thriving community that meets in the heart of Te Kauwhata. Our service includes vibrant worship and inspiring teaching where faith and life intersect in a real way because we’re real people with real stories. We also have an Eastgate Kids programme for those 11 years old and under, meeting in the building next door. Altogether, this service is about an hour and fifteen minutes long with a time to connect with one another afterwards.

Church on Sunday

Meeting during the Traffic Light System

We are so excited to announce that we will be gathering again at the rugby club at 10 am on Sunday, December 19th!

Traffic Light Guidelines for Eastgate - Te Kauwhata Campus

Eastgate Te Kauwhata Gatherings:

We will be gathering on Sundays without requiring a vaccine pass, and therefore abiding by the health and safety guidelines for our gatherings outlined below.

If at RED – No formal Sunday gathering at the Rugby Club. Connect groups will remain open. If comfortable, you can invite others to your home for fellowship and participate in the online service together. The maximum occupancy of a home is 25 people.

If at ORANGE – Gatherings at the rugby club will resume for up to 50 people (excluding staff and key volunteers). Sign in via the COVID tracer app, or a manual document is required.

If at GREEN – Gatherings will be held at the rugby club for up to 100 people (excluding staff and key volunteers). Sign in via the COVID tracer app, or a manual document is required.

Eastgate Kids – Our Kids programme will be running in both ORANGE and GREEN. We will require our Eastgate Kids volunteers to be vaccinated due to our leaders’ proximity with children in a small, less ventilated space. This keeps us aligned with the protocols for schools and can provide peace of mind for parents.

At all levels, our online services will continue to operate for those who may be uncomfortable attending in person. While we know that this topic of conversation has the potential to be divisive, we want to remain respectful and non-judgmental of people who hold different viewpoints from ours, while at the same time making all necessary efforts to ensure that our gathering is a safe environment for all.
